Mr. Acevedo developed A's Academic and College Counseling Program based on over 40 years of experience in education and social services. Throughout his career, he has worked with children and young adults in various roles, including AS A social worker, employment counselor, social agency manager, teacher's aide, middle school social studies educator, residential child care worker, college youth community outreach worker, community college admissions counselor, and FOR 23 YEARS AS A MORRISTOWN HIGH SCHOOL guidance counselor.
DIFFERENT MINDS THINK DIFFERENTLY
Through these experiences, Mr. Acevedo recognized the need for a program specifically designed to support non-traditional, and low-income students. His vision was: to believe in, accept, and uplift THOSE students, BY providing the guidance, encouragement, SUPPORT, and resources necessary for them to pursue their dreams and passions. The program has since evolved to include students from low-middle-income backgrounds, embracing all ethnicities and backgrounds, as long as they are motivated to strive AND WORK for EDUCATIONAL AND PERSONAL improvement.
